Lewis Carroll’s Alice character has delighted audiences (whether children or substance-friendly adults) for generations, and this April, prolific cover artist Jenny Frison will provide her own spin on Carroll’s iconic visuals in an illustrated edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland from IDW Publishing. Frison, a Harvey-nominated graduate of the Kubert School, is perhaps best known for her long run as cover artist on Revival , Tim Seeley and Mike Norton’s Gothic boiler about corpses climbing out of their graves, and has recently contributed a memorable stint of variant covers for DC’s Wonder Woman title. Her signature use of grey tones comes to curiouser and curioser life in the volume, which includes both Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass , and her muted palette captures the off-kilter melancholy of Carroll’s original outings perfectly.
